I know irish westie boys at the 2nd street pub that slang out cash and expect interest. They arent crazy killer mother fuckers but they can get nutts when you dont pay up. They are wannabies and there arent many. The westies are done and gone, they cant compare to the cracked out 300 pound gorrilas that infected out irish territory. Also Hells kitchen aint hell no more, some of the richest wallstreet pencil pushin mother fuckers live there.

I don't know about the Irish Mafia in New York, but they still do exist in Boston. When key figures go to prison, new gangsters emerge in the shadows. You can't really go on what you see in the movies, or read in the papers. There was a quote in the movie Usual Supsects, but I think it sounds more accurate for Irish Organized Criminals.

The IRA is a very powerful mafia that hides behind the term "freedom fighters".

I don't agree with you about the IRA though bud. Drug dealers are severly punished by the IRA usually through knee-capping- a single shot through the knee cap. Their aim is to drive the British Army out of the occupied 6 counties through armed struggle and their agenda is purely political. The British government regularly blame bank robberies and drug deals on them to discredit their cause but republicans strongly deny these allegations.

Well that's what I hear anyway about the IRA. I heard now that they are claiming to lay down their arms, they will not form into more of a mafia organzation. You'd know more than me if you live over there. What are your feelings on the Famine? In America the only Holocaust we seem to focus on is the Jewish Holocaust, when in fact the largest genocide ever was in Ireland 1845-1850. Our newest movie in development is called "FAMINE".

Yeh Mike, recently the IRA have announced an end to the armed struggle and wish to achieve a united Ireland through their political wing Sinn Fein.
Regarding the Irish Famine, this was a black time in Irish history when over 1 million people died of starvation and over 1 million people emigrated. My information on the Jewish holocaust is that 6 million people were murdered by Hitler's regime. It does seem at times that the genocide commited by the British in Ireland is swept under the carpet though.
