The Gustin Gang was the first Irish-American gang to be in control of the Boston crime scene. It was run by Frank Wallace during the Prohibition era until Wallace was killed in 1931 by the Italians of the North End. The Italians ran the rackets until the 1960s when Buddy McLean and his Winter Hill Gang took over for the next thirty years.
