To tell you the truth you're not really going to find much on the Irish Mob in general, all of the Irish Mobs have been on a much smaller scale than La Cosa Nostra, and have also not been as strong, and never as well documented.
Well, in Southie George "Georgie Boy" Hogan has supposidly taken over the Winterhill Gang since Kevin Weeks went to prison in 2000 and flipped on Whitey(although some believe that they talked about it before hand b/c Weeks has stated that Whitey told him if he ever gets pinched to blame it all on Whitey, b/c Whitey believes the feds will never catch him anyway, so, it doesn't matter to him).
Supposidly John "Little Jackie" Coonan, III is running Hell's Kitchen(he's Jimmy C's nephew) aswell as Sean "Butcher Junior" Cummiskey(Eddie's son) along with a few other young Irish hoods(maybe a half dozen) with Kenny Shannon, Billy Bokun, Johnny Halo and Brian Bentley out of the can there is also a possibility that they have rejoined the rackets(not definite, but, possibly).
You're not going to find much on any of them though, you might wanna pick a certain time period and do it. |

Look to the Provisional Irish Republican Army and it's offshoots. How it transformed from one of the world's most sophisticated terrorist groups to one of the world's most sophisticated criminal groups. You can focus on it's smuggling scams, it's hands-off/protection approach to Irish drug dealers, it's complicated financial dealings. Compare the overlap between crime and revolution. The two have always been joined at the hip everywhere. | |
