What's happening in KC? For a long time Pendergast had the whole city under control, but what's going on now?

I'm sure there is a LARGE underworld on the hush in KC but where do the Irish play their parts in this?

The Irish in Kc are definitely around and have their hands in many workings in around the city. The past decade has seen a slowing of all mob activities everywhere due to flips and rats caused by new gvmt. programs like RICO. However, the Irish mob in KC is on the rebound with new young faces that are actually well educated now. As many of you know, the IRish mob is not a traditional mob as one likes to think (godfather, machine gun hits, only operates illegally) the Irish mob in big cities like KC operates through high class positions (city council members, cops, judges and mainly lawyers) although there are still many irish "thugs" that walk these kc streets. Most of the irish contingent that has their hand in the kc irish mob either lives south of the plaza in brookside/waldo area or immediately north of the MO river, in North Kansas City. I can think of at least 30 irish guys up north who now associate themselves with the "new" kc irish mob. It will be interesting to see how this group affects kc as they grow older and experience success in eiter politics, bar ownerships, law or by infiltrating the kcpd as so many have already done.

I agree. Guys have become smarter these days, but unfortunately, most underestimate the capability of the technology that's available. When I say available, I don't mean just to big time agencies, either. It's been long known around here (at least by myself) that the FBI provides some of their equipment to local PDs. Highly intelligent hardware engineers fresh out of college would be a VERY important asset for any guys wanting to protect themselves from the robots with badges.

I never heard of anything happening in Brookside. Waldo, on the other hand...
