any of the old timers out there know sol Sullivan? He was from Manhattan and shot on queens blvd in the late 50's I think. He was eddie sullivans dad and my uncle. I wasn't even born yet. Heard story from family that he was shot because his son(eddie) was shaking down construction workers for protection money that was run by italian mob. They say Sol was warned to get eddie under control and since he could'nt, they killed Sol to send eddie a message. Any truth to this? If any one knew Sullivan family please post.
