Thanks, I can get to the menu shown in you link that allows me to

pick Safe Mode. But, when I click on it, it won't allow me to do it and instead gives me the message that it has shut down. This is exactly what happened when I had that really bad virus! I may have to have my computer tech look at it!

This is a new computer that my brother built for me. He bought all the parts on-line and then put it together himself. Is there anyway something is glitchy with any of the hardware????? I never had any of these problems with my old Dell computer!!
