Posters please note that the new BWMA Forum is now at this location:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bwma/
Please note, it is still embryonic, but I want people to start joining so any problems can be ironed out early.
Thank you,
BWMA.
PS It will still be possible to post on the existing forums for a couple of weeks.
Your request to join the bwma group was not approved.

membership in the group. Moderators who choose to restrict
membership also choose whom to admit.
Please note that this decision is final and that Yahoo! Groups
does not control group membership.

Now I'm surprised. I got the same thing when i applied. I can understand why I didn't get approved, but you are a major supporter of their cause. Your approval should have been automatic.
However, maybe they want to disassociate from you, considering you post anti-EU, anti-euro and other non-related topics. You also admit to criminal acts (defacing public signs) which you may think is lawful and you get some support. But the day will come when someone in the right place and time finds your actions not so lawful and places you under arrest. The BWMA may not want to be seen as an accomplice to your crimes.
So far, there are supposedly only two members to the new sight which has been in existence since 09 Oct 2005 and only one post by Jim Elwell so far. Pro-metric supporters created this Google site: http://groups.google.com/group/misc.metric-system and there is barely any posting going on there. The USMA members don't go there so what makes the BWMA think their yahoo site will be a success considering they will most likely reject over half of their posters.
Maybe the BWMA would like to explain why we were rejected. If we broke a rule, then we should have that explained to us.

I would suggest that its one of:-
1) Tony and your membership rejected in error
or
2) Tony's rejected in error but to prevent Off Topic rubbish being posted your's was rejected within reason.
3) Tony's rejected to prevent Off Topic rubbish being posted was rejected within reason.
If the moderator is to be fair and reject posters because they post off-topic "rubbish", then he/she must reject all who do. Thus if I'm rejected for that reason, so must Tony.
I see the new forum is really starting off well. Two weeks in operation, only 3 approved members and one posting so far.

Europe First?

Daniel Jackson referred us to Europe's first cross-Europe party, 'Europe United'.
I see its 'key principle' is: "Europe First".
Now, if I said 'England First' or 'Cornwall First' or 'Africa First' or 'Israel First', would those be any less valid principles?

Sorry - you read me wrong.
I realise that Tony is often off-topic.
But he tends not to post total and absolute rubbish.
Clue: Welsh people want to be in the EU and not in the UK and want England to be annexed etc etc. Subtle enough for you?

Everyone who has applied has been approved so, if you are each getting a different message, then there is a fault. I am not sure why this is at the moment.
I have logged in but there it still indicates that I'm not a member yet. I see that there are 5 members but all I see as far as messages are concerned in Jim Elwell's from 09 Oct 2005, some 2 weeks ago. I would think if 5 members are approved there should be more then one message there.
Maybe the 5 people that are approved should post a test message to see if they can, and identify themselves in the message. I have the feeling something went wrong from the time Jim posted and now and as such, no one can post.

I've just done a test message and it works (for me, anyway).
