I want Szechuan!

now I go to restaurants with my parents and my cousin Judith.
she's an ex-lawyer (now trust officer in a downtown office tower)
who's splitting from her husband (his decision) so my mother
seems to have adopted her as a daughter. :p

anyway, Judith can't eat spicy foods, or cabbage,
which nixed my idea of having Korean food today (kimchi!).

eww...that sucks. well, when she's not tagging along you 3 can eat Sichuan to your heart's content.

i just received an absolutely brilliant book on Sichuan cookery yesterday as a pressie. couldn't put it down, i wanted to eat the book from the mouth watering detailed description and insight! already i know my travel plan has to be revised....it now comes down to plitting 6 weeks between Tibet and Sichuan province! in Sichuan i will be spending most of the time in Chungking and Chengdu for the food. that i know for certain but have to wait til i've read the China guide book to see if anywhere else in Sichuan deserves a peek. the rest of f#cking China doesn't interest me, with one exception which is the Great Wall but that's about all.
