just one meal in Brno, the day before new year. the Urquell was on tap. nice! and it was at a seafood deli, not even a full blown restaurant.

food on x'mas day. the country is shut down on x'mas and new year days.

seafood salad looks good, but where is the dressing?

do they have 'cocktail dipping sauce' there?

I think it has horseradish in it, but it's red.

oh day ummm.....i forgot if there was any dressing. in any case, i remember pouring half a bottle of tabasco that i brought from home knowing the Czech don't like anything spicy. much better than 'cocktail sauce' anyway. i think they serve freshly grated horseradish with meat dishes, mostly. but i like it so much i would probably eat it with seafood too!

Oooh ... I never thought of grating radishes. That's pretty. I made a shrimp salad last night, but it didn't look that wonderful. I bet it tasted just as good though.

too much trouble grating radishes. besides, i don't want to loose my fingertips using a hair-raisingly sharp mandolin.

it was very refreshing after so much meat and potatoes every day.
