It's been a hard week, leavemealone!

Shaking her head, Kaly sighed, and simply allowed him to feel superior for the moment. If she tried to say anything for the moment, David would simply find something to retort with. He enjoyed the game of one-upping. Whatever made the lug she loved happy.

Instead, the blonde crossed back to David, rising on her toes to plant a soft kiss on his cheek while taking Joshua into her arms. Wordlessly, she went back across the kitchen toward the dining table, where she'd set up the baby's highchair, babbling nonsense with the boy. He smiled, seemingly quite amused with whatever it was the woman was cooing at him. Easily, she guided the chubby little legs down through the holes under the tray so that Joshua could sit up with the assistance of the chair. One quick stretch of her arm, and she had claimed a box of Cheerios from the table, softly shaking a small handful of the cereal out onto the baby's tray. Joshua, his interest perked, began to study the little circles now in front of him.

The little boy was growing quickly, close to being able to sit up on his own, able to babble and laugh as well as smile, getting his hands on just about anything he could. He was beginning to teethe, if the way he drooled was any indication. He continued to amaze his mother at the rate he was growing and learning. She thought he might be developing overly fast; his doctor assured her that all babies grew at their own rate, and Joshua was perfectly healthy and developing beautifully.

She was still sure it was his non-mortal genes that were at play.

Regardless, Joshua was happy, and so was she. She turned her attention to David as she sat beside Joshua at the dining table, a smile on her lips. Unbelievably happy.

The idea of picking a date was insane to her. If she really had to pick? Right damn now would be her choice. Screw the whole pageantry that made up weddings; all she really, truly wanted was to marry him and spend the rest of their life together joking and fighting and loving. She had that old dress he loved, and she was sure somewhere in the back of his part of the closet there was a decent set of clothes he could wear. All they'd need was an official and a place to stand. Rings, too. And after that, bliss.

They couldn't get away with such a thing, she knew. In the future, people would inevitably ask 'when are you going to have a real wedding?' And she was much too nice to simply punch them all in the face. No matter how badly the urge would overcome her. Not only that, but there was always the media. They might not be the biggest celebrities in the world, but they had quite a loyal following of fans. And when the everyday people made others icons in their lives, every journalist and TV station had to have a chance in getting their stories on them. They'd be hounded for pictures and video, for details of over-the-top theatrics.

She wondered how long she could get away with saying she wanted something simple and quiet. Not long, she guessed, and so, she made a decision.

"Why don't we compromise..." she stated. "Mid-September? I'm thinking August might still be too hot, and October is gonna be plenty cooler, not always ideal for an outdoor ceremony."

David had made his way to his woman and their son, leaning down on the back of the chair she sat upon. "September?" he reiterated.

Kaly nodded as she picked up a Cheerio while curious Joshua watched, placing it in her mouth and chewing softly as she used a finger to push another across the sleek surface of the baby's tray. Intrigued, the boy slowly reached toward the closest one to him to give it a try himself. "Mmhmm. I know it probably won't make much difference either way for the outdoor appearance here, unless you're planning on having it somewhere other than here. I wouldn't mind having it on the beach."

"You have a strange affinity for water considering you're not a mermaid."

The blonde bombshell smirked, leaning back to glance up at her fiance. "I have a feeling I was conceived in the ocean. Tricky Odin, luring my mother to sin in the water like that."

He leaned down to lay a peck on her brow. "I, for one, am grateful for that one deed."

Her lips softened into a smile. How had she been so blessed in life? She might never know, but she was grateful just the same as he. "I'll try to tell him that the next time he tries to tell me you're evil." He laughed. "Now seriously, mister 'I want an outdoor event'... where were you envisioning it taking place?"
