Any Time, Any Day. (Press Conference Regarding Stanley Green)

by .

The scene opens with numerous reporters seated in a small room in a hotel, nearby a sports arena in Cincinnati, Ohio. A podium at the front of the crowd bears the DWF logo, and a DWF backdrop, a few feet behind. Two security agents on either side survey the area, and a small business man opens hte door off-stage. Photographers and journalists leap to their feet, their murmur turning into a deafening cry of questions and accusations at a single man.

That man was DWF's own, King Gojinn.

The 6' 6" frame towered over the smaller crowd, and his intimidating stare slowly silenced the crowd, his demeanor ordering their immediate compliance. Stopping behind the podium, he brushed his hair back behind his ears, looking out on them all. It was a smaller crowd than normal for a press conference with this man, but it was short notice. He had seen the recent news on the internet and local papers. People kept talking about it, and corporate didn't know how to react at this point. They ducked everything the media threw at them, knowing a response would kill them, no matter what response they made.

Doomed from the beginning, if they spoke themselves. That's why he took the stand; deniability. If he says anything they don't approve of, they can bury him, and the King would cease to be in the DWF. That, or they'd fine him. Either way, he didn't care, so- he stood before the public for this important press conference.

Wearing a long black coat, stopping about at his knees, hood drawn over his head; loose fit blue jeans, and a newly designed DWF Gojinn t-shirt, he slowly removed the hood, letting his hair flow down over his face, forcing him to brush it back with his hands, before speaking.

You people... you haven't a clue. The Darkside Wrestling Federation is a company that stands for the best wrestling in the world. As a part of that company, I'll be frank when I say that sometimes, management is poor if not non-existent. The act it took so long for a public response to this issue is pathetic in my eyes, because I would have stood before you Day 1 to tell you all- to go straight to hell!

You think what you're doing is helping!? You're spreading panic through the country, the world- all because you want a juicy news story, you bastards. Take something tragic, and link it to the nearest entity! How many vampiric movies, television shows, comics, and cartoons are out now!? Interview With The Vampire, Queen of the Damned, Dracula, Buffy, Angel, Underworld, The Lost Boys, not to mention your savior of chocolaty cereal, Count Chocula! Still- because we're the closest, it's our faults, right? Because he happened to attend AS A VIP FAN - we killed him? Or a fan from here?!

I'll admit that some fans are a bit out there, but I don't seriously see any of them MURDERING someone vampirically!

Super stars play gimmicks for you all on television, attempting to entertain you. Some of them are werewolves, demons, vampires, angels, or just humans. In any case -

Gojinn grasps his forehead, a grunt coming out. A moment or so later, he drags it down his face and slams it to the podium, leaning over it now.

You want the truth!? They're out there right now! Very few of them stand for the good in this world, but everywhere around you the truth lies right in front of your eyes! These aren't gimmicks. We aren't actors. This isn't a game. Stanley Green was a loss for the world, but he is NOT the first soul to be taken by 'supernatural means'. You people claim to have some inside scoop- that a DWF superstar may have been responsible, or that a fan was responsible for that poor mans death. I've got news for you-

It could have been one of any of the millions of vampires on this godforsaken planet! There's a chance it could have been someone in the company, but it's just as likely that someone in HERE - could be a vampire... or a demon... or just some twisted freak killing people and making it look like a vampire did it! None of you even saw the man!

But because I'm such a generous guy- I want to propose something. Bring up Stanley's picture, please.

A man walks over a large framed picture of Stanley Green.

Stanley Green fucked up. Either he was dealing with the wrong people, or he just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. This is his picture. I want this message delivered to everyone - whoever did this - I want a piece of you. I want you to come forward. I want you to look me in the eyes. I want to show you why the evil in this world should be afraid. Once upon a time I was good. Then I was evil. I've evolved. Death ... has evolved. And if you're brave enough to do this, to come before me, I'll make you understand exactly ... what I mean.

Gojinn slams his hands against the podium again, glaring in the main camera, as the reporters and journalists begin firing questions at him. Cameras record and snap photographs of the man, as he turns away, getting a rather rude response from his crowd. He turns, flashing them a look of sheer fury, prompting most of them to go silent.

Seconds later the door slammed, and Gojinn had dissapeared, ending the public announcement...
