Kade watched her carefully as he nodded. "And we're not going to go out of our way to. Sometimes the best defense is a solid offense. First things first, who other then our very pissed off enemies in other realms would even want to consider coming after him with us as our parents?" Kade asked. "Secondly, those enemies have things working against them even getting close to Earth. We'll know they are here, before they even realize they've made the trip the final part of the way." Kade nodded.
"Are there threats? You bet your ass. But I'd put you, Seth, Alex, and me against any and all of them. Am I saying lets go around flaunting baby pictures. No but that is more because of my own theories on who's damn business it other then our own?" Kade nodded. "Look. Your brother, your father, my great grandfather. They can make their threats, their whatever the hell they want. At the end of the day. Until my body is cold and I'm sitting beside Jesus smoking a Cuban cigar will I ever believe there is a chance that any harm will come to that baby." Kade spoke. Their eyes staying locked.
"I know that. And I believe that. But it still doesn't stop me from worrying." Sakkara told him.
"And I don't expect it to." Kade told her. "Are you sure you still don't wanna consider naming him DaleDarrelWaltripRichardPettyRustyAlsonBillIrvingGordonEarnhardtSmithJohnson Junior?"
"Kade!" She said sternly as he smirked.
"I had to try." He laughed.
"Do you really think I bellow?" She asked.
"Don't ask me questions you don't want me to answer sweetie." Kade smiled. Slowly he leaned in, his lips finding her own. Until a muffled coo grabbed both their attentions. "I'm never gonna get laid again with this kid around." Kade grumbled as he stood. Sakkara nearly followed, until she restrained. As he walked over he picked the now awake baby up.
"I think he just got woken up but your non-hovering, kid already has issues. Way to go." Kade smirked as he moved gently back to the bed. "I think he'll go right back to sleep in a few minutes. Do me a favor, go get me and you something to drink." Kade told her. Sakkara knew it was his polite way of saying get lost for a few minutes. Reluctantly she did so as he waited for her to get out of the room.
Hearing her go down the stairs, he moved the baby back to where they could see eye to eye, holding him perfectly as if he'd been doing this for years. "Everything I said about no one harming you. I meant it. You will never be put in as much danger as your mother and I stupidly did. As long as you promise not destroy me one I lead the revolution agais.......why the hell am I talking to you like this, like your mother? You don't have a clue what I'm talking about. In that case, dog, poop, wobble, wobble, napkin, stop sign, turtle, thank you, thank you, thank you!" Kade smirked as he put the child back against his chest, it immediately beginning to relax again.
