Straight to the Grave - TDR vs. Damien Death, Four Circles of Power

by

An empty arena. His Royal Darkness stands alone in center ring.

Damien:

At Christmas Carnage 2007, you denied me the honor that was my due. At StrikeZone: Retribution, I balanced the scales. The title that you hold so dear is now mine, and my plague still eats away at your undead body. I said that if I didn't take your title, I would take you straight to the grave. So as far as I'm concerned, we're even and done. But you seem bound and determined to make sure that I walk away with everything, or nothing.

And so, as the golden evening brightens in the west and we prepare to enter the Month of the Dead, we will put this rivalry to rest in one final contest, a match that you might say reflects the theme of your struggle. Because your struggle is not about a title. Or a cure. Or balancing the scales. It's about control. It's about destiny. It's about power.

Which brings us here, to this place that looks like a wrestling ring. But at Straight to the Grave it won't be a wrestling ring. This, Damien, will be the First Circle of Power. There, out among the rows and the seats and the people, is the Second Circle. Beyond, in the cavernous hallways that litter the place behind the stage, is the Third Circle. And finally, beyond the doors and walls of this building, is the Fourth Circle of Power. There your precious championship belt will hang suspended from a crane, waiting for one of us to reach up and claim it. But long is the way and hard that out of Hell leads up to light.

Our journey begins here, in this First Circle. Claim a victory here, and you claim the circle, and move on. No more victories may be attained in the First Circle; the only way to take it is to claim a victory in the Second Circle. And so we progress, from the ring, to the crowd, to the back, and to the lot--the Four Circles of Power. Take the belt, and take all the power.

Damien, I have made this event a night of horror for those who oppose me, who strive to be like something more than man. When it is all said and done, you will sleep in peace...or you will face the music. The choice is yours. Soon to faithful warriors cometh rest.
