Tonight was a good night for Vengeance Knight. It was the debut of his most updated suit in the last few years. Luckily, for him, he never broke ties with his old friend James Cassidy. Not only was James Cassidy a very wealthy man but he was also a man who had eyes and ears in all but a few areas of the American government. He had access to lot and had for several years not only because of his status of being extremely wealthy but for being a battle-tested retired CIA agent/Special Forces Agent. He was one of the individuals that Bruce used to work for during his self imposed exile from Creatures wrestling. During this leave Bruce bonded with Cassidy based on their common belief that Creatures should not be excluded from the concept of justice simply because of their abilities and that humans should be left to be preyed upon for their lack of these abilities. During their years working together Cassidy educated Bruce on all the information the government had on Creatures but it just wasn't enough to stay updated and informed as times changed. So Cassidy and Bruce agreed it they couldn't rely on the government itself to stay informed. They need to get the information from the horse's mouth, so to speak. Cassidy used his vast knowledge of all the strides that had been made in the Advanced Applied Technology For Military Combat department was able to filter all kinds of countless potential weapons and accessories to Bruce, who as per their agreement, would act as something of a non-government protector of humans against Creatures who might prey on them. While Cassidy focus was more on that specific topic over the years Bruce made his mission more simple: Protect the Innocent and Punishment the Guilty. With the connections James Cassidy provided him, knowing that he was comfortably removed from the government's ranks and more importantly it's corruption, but still a veteran of them and well respected enough to have his finger on the pulse of everything both of them needed to know. This was an excellent arrangement needless to say.
Bruce had all of his bases covered in several ways. He, along with Cassidy, were the top two investors in the Advanced Applied Technology For Military Combat department which not only made them endeared to the government programs in place but allowed to them to also connect with powerful people all over the world such as scientists, government officials, etc. The difference between himself and Cassidy was that Bruce was all about his vow to be something of a watchful guardian of justice that, at least in his mind, only he could. As the years went by Bruce not only built upon his network with his friend James Cassidy, who had almost become something of a father figure to him, but upon countless other networks with other like-minded people in terms of the idea of a common justice worldwide against the ever present threat of powerful Creatures. Level 5 Creatures such as Sakkara, the Princess of Hell, and his former love.
Now in regards to his presence in the DWF, it had dual purpose. Primarily it was to keep himself physically and mentally sharp outside of his own personal crusade against sinister creatures who preyed upon the innocent, several which he actually first encountered from the ranks of the DWF. Secondly it allowed him to continue to keep himself informed by being apart of the Creature community itself. No matter how many eyes and ears one had, or thought they had amongst creatures, the community was very tight knit and low key. It was exclusive and damn there impossible to penetrate with the exception of becoming a member of it yourself. To his advantage, he had made the proper sacrifices in order to now be considered one for which the upside was limitless. Thirdly, as a bonus, he allowed himself to become who he truly was in the form of Vengeance Knight. Previously had functioned under his true name or alternate identities such as Optimum, etc. However, Vengeance Knight was the closest to the mythical entity of dread he had built a cult following for amongst those he preyed upon outside of the DWF. However, the fact only known to one creature being Devilz Child, was that the simply name Vengeance was what he had gone by since the beginning of his personal crusade against wicked and sinister creatures all those years ago. It had never changed, despite his alter egos and identities during his Professional wrestling career in the CCW and DWF up until now. He was careful to keep a slight difference between himself in the DWF and himself outside of it, even if it was by adding the title of Knight to the title her wielded in his personal endeavors. Even though his attire in the DWF was similar to his body suit outside of it, he remained such a mysterious spectre to every creature he encountered it was impossible to pinpoint a similarity.
Many of the kind of Creatures he encountered were fearful of the stories they heard about him which was just his intention. Others knew him to be a harsh reality that, should they cross him, he would make them pay for their crimes in ways that had no jurisdiction. This was the primary leverage he had in dedicating himself to all of this. His only jurisdiction was himself.
There he stood on the building he first vowed to begin this journey on. It was in the CCW he encountered Sakkara aka Devilz Child and took on Hell itself for her affections, ultimately dooming himself to be destroyed. Even with all that said, it all seemed to balance out as he was brought back by Forces that opposed those which destroyed his life and threatened to seize his very soul. Yet, he couldn't help but smile behind his mask, knowing all of that was pivotal to him becoming strong enough to do what he does.
Silently he placed a foot on the edge of the roof, activating his night vision built into his suit, then switching from that mode to the sonar mode in which he was able to have a kind of sonar like vision based off of the particularly signals given by electronic devices. His mask that functioned as helmet only able to be removed by him to protect his identity, was molded in the shape of a skull which was inspired by the traditional design of the Grim Reaper as was the hooded cowl that was attached to it. As the night wind blew through his cape, constructed of memory cloth that when he activated an electric current from the microcircuits on the wrists of his gloves.
On this night, he was satisfied with what he had gotten from this newest version of his body suit despite the fact he had thousands of other incarnations of it designed to combat the thousands of kinds of Creatures he was up against. This particular suit was adequate for taking on the vast majority of them for the most part so rarely did he have to deviant from it. Then again, with thoughts of Devilz Child drifting to his memory from their first encounter on this very rooftop, he probably had more alterations to add to it.
