That is the amount of preload needed. Thanks so much! I have the german manual for the Diana 75 but I somehow doubt I would have connected all the dots and found this nugget of information. It confirms my suspiciion that a feeler gauge is used to determine the correct washer step thickness.
Now to put the pistol back together...make a new step washer if needed.
