I have a MK1 BSA Airsporter .22 Serial No G14309 with original hooded front sight and stamped with British proof marks examples of which I believe were only exported to Australia to circumvent tax laws at the time.
I believe these are quite rare outside Australia.I am considering selling this collectable due to failing eyesight I don't want to ruin the piece by the adding a telescope which it does not lend itself to.
Can anyone help me with a valuation estimate in the US ? the condition is good and fully workable bluing still deep has the obligatory few light dings and scratches associated with age but quite well preserved it seems to have seen little actual useage.
Note: If any one should know of the US legalities regarding the importation of such an item I would also appreciate this information also.
