why so many of the old 312/317 guns are missing the safety. I understand that the old sheridan hold-down safety got changed because so many people were just taking it off, leaving the gun with no safety. But that relates to an inconvenience. I don't know why anybody would remove the benji safety. Sure see a lot of them that way, though.
