Response to piston seal

this 55 is well serial numbered

I attempted to show that the piston has cocking slots on two sides. sorry for the soft focus.

now for questions - was this a factory adjustment? this was set with some force

there is a white-ish residue on the pot metal parts of the site - how best to remove it?

can I make one of these plumbing washers work to replace the defunct original
