Two answers. You get to choose which is most relevant for you.

Heywood,

I've had to make similar choices, and like you, must assume it's not financial but more a sentiment that drives you to admit I/you have too many airguns that can do the same thing.  Duplication.

Here's my mental gymnastics when I have two or more guns that do the same thing:

1-What gun do I shoot the most over the past year?  This revelation usually forces me to admit that there are nuances that appeal to me that may not appeal to others.  I also have to weigh this against my personal preferences/prejudices (personal fit to my obtuse body proportions, weight preference, comb height in relation to my big head, etc.) to what the masses perceive as a "good fitting gun", i.e., the R1 is too heavy, the fwb 12X has an average trigger, blocky forend on the stock, etc.

2-Accuracy.  This weighs heavily in my decisions.  If I'm weighing gun vs. gun most often the most accurate wins.  In my experience this relates back to #1 since personal fit equates to accuracy in my shooting.

Not sure this helps but you now know my criteria.  Never divulged this publicly before.
