Please excuse me for dropping by here, I'm usually on the Vintage Diana Forum.
In the meantime I've acquired two Walther's, an LG 51 and a LG 55. The latter is a beauty, but will not hold the piston while cocking. I can move the lever all the way down, but the piston will not set. The gun has new seals, and the previous owner swears the piston is in the right position. I haven't taken it apart this far yet.
I have noticed though, the Devil Bar fits perhaps too firmly in the slot holding the spring mechanism. The 51's Bar was real loose.
Could anyone please direct me to a link here to help me remedy the situation?
The gun is an absolute beauty, although a beechwood stock. The gun is a keeper for sure, and I am grateful for any knowledge of a solution.
