Here's the first "book" that I ever put together on air guns. Got a set of American Rifleman mags that was complete from about 1945 to well into the 1950s. They were in poor condition and got them either free or almost nothing. So, I cut out all the airgun ads. From 1948 through 1950, the ads are complete. Prior to 1948, there are no air gun ads in ARM. After 1950, there a no more air gun ads until one in 1952 and only rarely any more later. Not sure what happened but something almost certainly happened to see all the air gun ads disappear from ARM.

Then, after all this ad activity, poof! All the ads disapear from ARM. In 1951, there are zero airgun ads. Then in 1962, this one ad.
