That the C9's that were stamped with "Sheridan Products" on the right side of the breech, had a S/N that started with an S.
And that the ones that were stamped "Benjamin Sheridan" with the Racine address, had S/N's starting with a W.
I can't find any reports, or claims of any C9's not having the "read manual" warning stamped on the left side of the tube, at the front sight.
However, at some point they added the NY address under the warning.
