It was pretty rusty when we got it (Read really rusty) Pitting everywhere.
So I can't make out the date, the diana logo is pretty well preserved, so is the made in germany inscribing.. but there's no serial number or date of manufacture.
Okay so here's the thing, we only have the action, thee stock was broken so we didn't take it, we ordered a brand new one anyway.
some more details here:
It has a dovetail rail on the barrel.
No rail on the back.
The sights didn't have inserts. the piston was still made out of leather (Well kind of obvious but still)
And that's about it.
Do you guys have any idea how old it is? We are currently restoring it, and I think we may have won the jackpot for getting the thing for 11 dollars ish.|
Arien, some pictures would help, but generally this sounds like a typical 35 made between the early 1950's and about 1964 or 65.
How much does the action resemble this gun, made about 1958? (If you look just a few posts down, this is part of a string with pics of several nice model 35's).
Hi, I have a couple of these,
Both Originals with the 3 ball trigger, One has an almost mint action, & I bought a 35B stock ( Much nicer )
It has the barrel mounted rear sight.
The 2nd is a 35S, This is a BIG gun, It had the Barrakuda system fitted to it ? Drilled & Tapped at the end of the chamber, Alas, It wasn,t on when I bought it.
Great guns, ged.

Very good mate,
The bottom is an original 25, Quite modern, but poor in quality to the earlier guns,
Here are some more,"What are these", ! Not so easy. Ged.
Hi, ( I presume its Mike ) Your pretty good at this, !
However I did say it was not easy ,
Diana 23 ( Top ) Correct, Diana 22 ( bottom ) Correct, I think its an original Though,
But the middle ???
Ha ha, All the best mate, Ged.
Hiya Mike, & all, I did say it was tricky,
The diana 22 you rightly pointed out, came in 3 guises,
( 1 ) the diana 22, ( 2 ) The Original 22, & finally this one, Its a Webley junior,
They all had the wrap around sheet metal barrel containing a brass liner, Some rifled & some not.
the real pick of this bunch though is the much rarer
Diana/Original 23 with the steel barrel, A nice gun !
All the best, ged.
PS, I like to put a Pic up, I uploaded them over a year ago so they are readily available !
These are 2 of mine, One I was told was an Exhibition
piece 1966 the other 1971, cheers,

The 1974 Beeman catalogue advertised the .177 Winchester 435 rifle.
The text noted that Beeman could supply the Winchester 435 or the HyScore 809 version.
The text also noted that it was the same gun as the Diana Model 35.
The text rated it as "moderate quality".
