Doe anyone have any original Healthways MA22 ammunition? From what I have read it was lead coated steel balls. Steel was used since there was a magnet holding the shot in place in the breech. If you have any for sale please contact me at [email protected]

.22 Lead balls work fine

You just give the gun a little shake after each shot. Pretty close to being gravity fed. Or you can use ball bearings...but it's expensive. I think #7's will work, but don't quote me on that.

Yes the .22 cal. Benji lead balls will work----slowly

It's been years since I tested mine but shooting it was very visual since I could watch the ball from muzzle to target.

In the eyes of a few 'elder statesmen' the MA22 may well be the most graceful American air rifle ever built. Yet they have been largely ignored by the collecting community. I offered mine at airgun shows several times at what I felt was a ridiculously low price without inciting attention.

It's a fickle crowd! Tom

Almost not worth it

I sold a tube last year for $35 to a BB tube collector. Too expensive just to shoot.

I've got a box full of Healthways tubes of coated .22 lead balls if anyone needs any at $20/tube.
