not even sure why 'being in the process' of blowing the whistle means anything

as long as the players are under the impression that the play is still going, it shouldnt matter.

I saw this last night, its complete and total bull****. Its obvious to everybody that it was the wrong call, but I doubt he gets punished for it. These days, officials are inconsistant, infalliable, and bias, which is an extremely dangerous combination.

It doesnt help that the NHL in general is looking more shady and sketchy every year. Many examples just from last year alone.
