Ok maybe Tim is a little eager in his assessment of the past 10 years, but can't we all agree that both of these franchises make for a healthy, complete, and diverse 'Dub? Yes, previous incarnations of Calgary teams didn't survive but they definitely weren't in the same situation as the Hitmen are now - the ownership structure is making nothing but money even in a down season and while you think attendance is appalling, it's pretty consistent for major junior in a major metropolitan centre. An AVERAGE of 8,500+ puts them ahead of cities like Vancouver, Ottawa, Montreal, etc. Besides, it wasn't that long ago that Medicine Hat wasn't coming close to that 4006 sellout...
It's years like 2007 and 2010 that show a healthy rivalry between these two teams makes for great hockey - how about we wish for the continued success of both franchises and 10 years from now have more discussions of who's better than whom?
