If the CHL wanted to keep it "Canada's game", why would they have a whole division of US teams in the WHL, including some of the most recent expansion teams? Your post is devoid of logic - it's not about protectionism at all, rather guaranteed bucks. If a US sponsor steps up I'm sure things will be different.
