We chatted between ourselves and can there be a middle-ground?
Granted we haven't seen an exhibition game this year (bad year so far, won't affect regular season games!) but it's reassuring to hear that even though it's an older lineup that they're "clicking" with one another. Last season, whether it be exhitibion or regular season, it really seemed like pond hockey: that is, no single line seemed to form together, checking responsibilties went out the window, and lots of players tried solo efforts.
5-1 in the exhibition season is now reverted back to 0-0 starting this weekend, but if the Gogolevs, Brassarts, Chases & co continue to put the puck into the opposing net, this exhibition season might be a good sign of things to come.
