I think the next few weeks are going to be telling. If the tigers do alright before the deadline I think they'll stand pat.
trading both bunz and etem would quite easily mean they finish out of the playoffs. I'm not sure how the fans would respond to that one, especially how well they were doing earlier in the year. I still have faith in a 90 point finish. It's tough to say how the fans will react to being out of the playoffs, and it's tough to say if the masers would be in favour of giving up on a couple of rounds of playoff revenue. The second round of the playoffs is realistic for this club. 6 odd playoff home game is a significant amount of money. Most teams in this league are not willing to pass that up to build for the future.
Purely from a hockey standpoint trading bunz and etem is the right thing to do. But there are practically no owners in this league that are willing to give up on a potential 2nd round team.
I don't think this is the year that the tigers sell, but we'll see. They almost certainly won't if they go on a winning streak. If they tank this month the chances of them selling goes up.
