What my friend is trying to say is that in 98-99, the Seattle Thunderbirds had three euro's, Oleg Saprykin, Stanislav Gron, and Zdenek Blatny. The Kootenay Ice with an open euro spot traded for Stanislav Gron before he played a game with Seattle that year. What my friend Warden forgot was that it happened well before the trade deadline and thus it has nothing to do with the situation in this topic. Warden might also remember that in 99-00, Alexander Fomitchev (sp?) was traded from Calgary to Seattle, thus, Seattle having three imports once again. As the season prior before the deadline, Zdenek Blatny was traded to the Kootenay Ice filling the available euro spot on the Ice roster left from an overage Stanislav Gron graduating from the WHL.
