Randy you said "He goes in too much, doesn't come back hard after he does and he takes major unnecessary risks."
For your first part. You must be watching a different Reilly. The kid is accountable. If he rushes the puck in deep and looses it he makes sure he's the first guy back. He's not like most players where they would sit there and watch their teammates cover for them. If the play is a quick turnover he's caught up to the play by the red line. Oh and he also isn't afraid to lay down and block a shot.
At times yes he does take risks but with great risk comes great reward. Early on in the season there was games where he took over and helped us come back and win.
As far as the posters stating to not disrupt the chemistry. I agree to disagree. Yes the Warriors are winning and are on a roll but you have a potential top 5 draft pick with game breaking ability being inserted into your lineup. Name one team that wouldn't insert him. This is going to inject more confidence into a team that's already rolling. IMO it's going to be nice taking out Gwinner and having Reilly as a 6th dman... Gwinner scares me out there... At times Gwinner thinks he's a mini Reilly.
For the posters that have said stuff about his character.I don't know Reilly personally but I do know his billet family and they speak very highly of him. He's great with their kids and they look up to him. He's also great with the kids around the rink. Not once I've had heard a bad thing about his character from anyone within the organization.
For those of you that don't think he's ready. He's been skating for over 2 months already. He's been determined to come back and make a difference ever since the injury happened. The vast majority of people wouldn't have put in the effort he did to get back to where he is and be inserted into the lineup. And truth be told he was ready to go in the first round and would've been inserted had either series went to 6 or 7. By winning both series early they gave him more time to prepare.
I personally am excited to see how this team finally looks with Reilly in the lineup and the rest of our additions (Braes and Henry). There's lots of buzz and excitement around MJ and within the Warriors dressing room. This could be the piece that puts us over the top.
