These kids are doing this for WORK!!!!!!!! Just because we cheer for teams in the WHL doesn't give us the right to dictate what and where they work.
If I have a kid and he is drafted at 14( way too damn young anyway ) he will not be signing anything to play anywhere until he is 16 turning 17. Kids having to decide their future at such a young age is ridiculous. No one else has to do that. They have an opportunity to apply, go to interviews and choose the job that is right for them and their families.
That to me makes way more sense to me. They are making billions of dollars off these young men collectively and they hold ALL of the cards. The players have very little say in anything and in lots of cases they are misled themselves and lied to. Just so the team gets what they want. Have witnessed that first hand for sure.
