I have to agree there. The Tigers and Giants pounded each other
by N. W. Bruin
Both clubs left it on the ice. And it was overall better but I prefer a team losing the series being totally done. Giants knew they had another crack at the Tigers after losing the series but the emotion from the Winter Hawks today after losing game seven was what was missing from that series. It will always be a bother to me that there is a back door and Wilms and Dan did mention it during the game today that unlike 2007 some team (Oil Kings or Winter Hawks) were finished after today. If the 2007 series wasn't a back door series I would still rank it higher by a wide margin. As is it is close second. The 70s Bruin run was great but the fact the road games were not on the tube and even for several of those seasons not even on a radio station meant you only saw half the games and only found out the results on the late sportscast or worse the next day in the newspaper.
