Seeing as we have what is likely to be the storm of the century coming down on us, (with hopefully unprecedented surf excellence!) I thought it would be good to get a moowhich prevention and treatment forum going here. Its probably going to rain like hell tues, wed, and thurs, and as a result the water will be skanky to the extreme-especially near populated areas. I've been told that during severe rainfall they actually shut down sewage plants to prevent overflowing and damage to equipment, and just straight pipe everything. Everyone has some version of moowhich prevention that works for them; lets share the knowledge!
I use swimmers eye drops after surfing, and then use hydrogen peroxide to douche my ears and clean injuries. The nose and throat is what concerns me and I haven't figured out how to fix those. Does anyone have ideas on that? What about (yuck) ingestion of moowhich water and magical cures for the trots? Man, I wind up with a throat infection and on antibiotics every time I swim in our crappy lakes after it rains.
Hopefully we'll get everyones take on this so we can all have a safe and healthy hurricane to enjoy during the next few days!
