Safe surf in Moowhich lake

Seeing as we have what is likely to be the storm of the century coming down on us, (with hopefully unprecedented surf excellence!) I thought it would be good to get a moowhich prevention and treatment forum going here. Its probably going to rain like hell tues, wed, and thurs, and as a result the water will be skanky to the extreme-especially near populated areas. I've been told that during severe rainfall they actually shut down sewage plants to prevent overflowing and damage to equipment, and just straight pipe everything. Everyone has some version of moowhich prevention that works for them; lets share the knowledge!

I use swimmers eye drops after surfing, and then use hydrogen peroxide to douche my ears and clean injuries. The nose and throat is what concerns me and I haven't figured out how to fix those. Does anyone have ideas on that? What about (yuck) ingestion of moowhich water and magical cures for the trots? Man, I wind up with a throat infection and on antibiotics every time I swim in our crappy lakes after it rains.

Hopefully we'll get everyones take on this so we can all have a safe and healthy hurricane to enjoy during the next few days!

Lake Ontario forcast from US side;

WEDNESDAY
EAST WINDS 15 TO 25 KNOTS BACKING TO NORTHWEST.
SHOWERS. WAVES 5 TO 7 FEET SUBSIDING TO 4 TO 6 FEET.

That puts waves right in the dirtiest spot...yippee. Gonna get kooked by tampons and diapers!

Throat Infections

August 30 2005, 8:58 AM

I'm thinking about trying to gargle with listerine after immersing myself in moowhich this week, since it might kill some of the critters that are sure to be burrowing into my throat and sinus. Anyone ever try this? Come on guys, we need input or we're all going to cost OHIP a fortune by Friday...Anyone ever try ear plugs or anything like that? I remember seeing some guy with duct tape over his ears at the bridge one time...
WHY MUST ALL THE GOOD SPOTS BE NEXT TO 'CHOCOLATE FACTORIES'??? I can name at least 5 good spots from Toronto to NOTL that are within sight and smell of sewage plants.
AUGGH!Please dont rain please dont rain please dont rain please dont rain
Moowhich world championships coming up...

I got sick

August 30 2005, 7:15 PM

The Bridge made me sick for the 1st time since '69 a week ago Thurs. I was fighting off a Flu with a sore throat for most of a week. A gulp of Lake water probably didn't help...
