Get out your wetsuits. It was a beautiful day of surfing.

Nature dominated all five Great Lakes today in a way that no other athlete can. The beaches returned to a state that was witnessed by natives over a thousand years ago and by sailing ship captains. The same awe and amazement cannot be destroyed when beaches are allowed to be beaches without breakwalls and marinas everywhere. What we saw today is something that most of humanity is this part of the world is not in tune with any longer.
Area 51 surprised us again. Lots and lots of waves just kept coming like the smiles.
Sorry for those in school and at work. Remember me when I'm stuck at work on some weekend. It happens to all of us. We get waves and we get responsibilities that keeep us out of them. Someone was born today and somebody else left this existence.

i wish i had a camera mate because those r the kind of conditions that nobody belives are possible on the lakes...there was one guy videotaping on the beach when i first got there i forget his name though
Wow,what a great afternoon! Near Castaways Tavern just up from Evangoia the rip cleared a lane that carried me out with an easy paddle about 150 yard, from there I just drifted into some outside rogue waves that were absolutely huge with steep fast faces, break and reform 3 to 4 times giving me rides all the way back to the beach, even got to share the fun with a surf kayaker. Best day in my short history on the lakes! Hard to believemyself how good it was, no-one who has not experienced a day like that will believe me. The help I have had fom this on-line community gotme started on my surfing adventuresand led to yesterdays perfect 3 hrs of fun, thanks!
