Damn y'all, we've been having week after week of more surf than I can sneak from work for. I went through a september and october in 2000 on the big island in Hawaii that was flatter.

That and now people are stepping up the exploration side with all this surf to go around. I don't wanna say anything to offend the pioneers, but the "golden age" is now, what with modern boards, no crowds, el nino storms and the advent of secondary sewage treatment facilities. Anyone drinking the Hate-orade about a particular spot can surf a new unexplored break every swell, so frickin yeah yeah y'all we are soooo lucky.

Sorry I missed the palmwood contest, the forum page was taking so long to load (mac attack) I gave up and went surfing, unwittingly missing the contest. No disrespect to the organizers who put together fun events on short notice in uncomfortable weather. I hope someone else from the masters shortie class was able to represent our division.

Brendan
