What I don't get is the owner of Clark Foam knew he was breaking the stricter EPA laws of California, which is why other companies using similar chemicals (TDI) left the state. With such a huge dominating share in the surfboard blank industry, you think he would have planned for this a little better? I think initailly this will have effects across the board, but longterm either somehow Clark Foam will hopefully regroup or somebody else will produce such fine blanks. Until then, cherish your boards and think twice before shooting any piers!
The way we as surfers cherish the environment so much, you would think that we would be happy about environmental laws being enforced and not being greedy and thinking only of surfing.
