Boring maybe, but it depends on how you look at it....
Yeah it's a pain in the ass to suit up, but on a mild morning like this, a 4/3 with 3 mill gloves and 5 mill booties with no hood takes 3 minutes to put on. Easier than suiting up in a 6/5/4.
Plus, it beats working out at a gym if you ask me.
Specifically at the end of Allen Avenue in Allenhurst, NJ.
9 times out of 10 this is the spot you check in the am because the end of the street overlooks the ocean (elevation about 15 feet) and you get a good view of several breaks just to the north and south.
There were a flock of seagulls (no not the 80s band) on the beach and just as I was about to head back home they took off southbound, so I grabbed a shot as they crossed the sun's path.
I will be in the lakes region Feb. 10-12 for a little Valentine's getaway with my wife. We're doing a Wine Pairing with Chocolates around Lake Seneca (Finger Lakes).
By the Grace of God, if there happens to be a NW, N, NE wind strong enough to whip up some surf, I would love to squeeze in a session on Ontario. I will be staying in Penn Yan about an hour south of the lake. Any spots between Rochester and the Sodus Point area? What is the ice cover around there right now? The chances of scoring are slim, but any excuse to throw the board in the car is worth it.
No, I think "Flock of Seagulls" was indeed an 80's band. Their self titled album was released in '82. Better take your Alzheimer's medicine...DUDE! Just kidding Bob. Don't get your panties in a knot like other ppl on this site.
Now THIS is a sun rise:
I still like the N.J. shot just needs one small 4-6ft addition.
I do indeed respect my elders Bob, even when they think I'm wrong. Born in '73, I know my 80s music. But if you want to familarize yourself with the band and get caught up to date, feel free. No worries! See you in the lineup sometime. PS Big Eagles fan too.
What's really weird is that until this thread I had never heard of this band. But on the radio the other day, the station was giving away tickets to their "farewell tour".
