| How much ice are you guys currently experiencing up there? Are all spots iced over due to this cold snap, which looks to be reinforced into next week? Eastern Ontario looks good as far as size on Friday, but I imagine the ice up there is accumulating further and further from the lakeshore? |

Also look at the chart for the Great Lakes on the other post about the water displacements/seiche.
There are ice reports there and lake temperature chartings.
Lake Erie flipped on Sunday and Monday. The entire lake went to 30 degrees. That's a freezing temperature for water if there ever was one.
Lake Ontario was showing vast areas at 40 degrees.
The temperature is warm right tonight in Buffalo but again this weekend the thermometer is going to go way down below freezing. That won't help shallow Erie. Lake Ontario is very deep and takes more time to form shore and off shore ice. |
