http://www.savesupertubes.com/ - all signatures would be appreciated. I realise very few of you have ever surfed Jeffery's but if you ever do you will appreciate adding you name to the list. I lived in the area surfed here for years and its one of the best spots in the world.
The ESA Great Lakes District and Wyldewood Surf Club are in solidarity with J Bay.

As the Co-Director of the E.S.A. Great Lakes District and the President of the Wyldewood Surf Club I protested this development that threatens surfing in J Bay and it's environment.
This weekend the worlds population hit over 6 Billion people. The hyper developments across the globe and in the Great Lakes are the greatest threat to surfing far surpassing crowding.
Posting this up because this subject is current and time sensitive.

The brothers and sisters who are fighting to preserve a prime world surf break need surfers from the Great Lakes and across the world on oceans to oppose a project that will do harm to a world class surf break.
In this time we live in we as surfers must come together in solidarity to protect surf breaks in the Great Lakes and around the world. This has to do with preserving surfing environments that are quickly disappearing for the quick buck. Over and over what has been around for millions of years suddenly becomes marginalized for the short term enrichment of a few who destroy surf breaks and then put up fences and no tresspassing signs.
Surfing breaks that have historic significance to our community should and must be protected for those wave riders who will follow us. The gift of the waves requires good stewardship and that does not come about by destroying the natural environment that produces the waves.
Please sign the petition on this posting. They need many more signatures in protest of this negative development project. Great Lakes surfers travel and their money spent in foreign countries has a significant economic.
The South African and world surfing community is calling out to the Great Lakes.

Today is the last day to sign the petition and we need hundreds and thousands more surfers and their friends to sign the petition to save an established and world renowned surf break.
Please take the time today to sign the above petition before time runs out.
Share the stoke and and pass onto to future generations of surfers what we have had to surf. Don't let short term profits impact the long term of surf riding. Save our waves and save our heritage!
I am curious as to what the current situation is with the marina that was going to be built there. Burlington and Hamilton are going to be my home breaks away from home for the next little while and I am looking forward to surfing their sludgefied waters.
I have an idea to raise some money for the "Save The Bridge" cause, that would be relatively easy to do. Please email me if interested: adamszp@hotmail.com, I wouldn't really know what to do with the money but I could raise some if that could help the situation.

I've tried signing this petition but I couldn't find where on the website. All I found was a bunch of email addresses and a link to a forum. Un peu d'assistance s'il vous plait.
Please write something like: As a surfer I protest and oppose a hotel being built at Super Tubes in Jeffries Bay, South Africa. Sincerely with your real name and address.

I can't find the petition that was there a week ago but I sent an email too from the E.S.A. Great Lakes District and from the Wyldewood Surf Club.
We have opened up the site to the surfing public so if you have a great story or pictures of you surfing JBay - Post them The more we have the better so people can see why this is a great wave that needs to be protected.

That's a disgrace! it seems that nowadays, corporations and wealthy people are working hand in hand to "gatify" every attractive square inch of the planet. i dunno what future generation will be left with if this continues at this pace. maybe people wont be able to see a piece of seashore if they happen to be below a certain income level!! already, many of the most beautiful landscapes on earth are only accessible to a select few...more than that, i read on this website that u need to pay a fee to access many of the beaches in new jersey!! and even in morocco there were private beaches that were cordonned off from the rest of shore!! the world is going completely nuts!!!
