Location: Allenhurst, New Jersey
Time: 2:50pm
Swell: Head-high + Windchop and Disorganized
Wind: ENE and gusty
Tide: High

Looks like this swell will eventually turn more from the SE, peaking eventually out of the S, with winds forecasted to go offshore Monday afternoon out of the SW.

Looks like the GTA is getting some surf up there today.

At $3 per gallon, no long drives in the near future to go exploring. Ethanol is a better additive, environmentally, for gasoline, but will hit us all in the wallet for the near future as they switch over here in the US. Time to bust out the bike and throw some surf-racks on it for the warmer season.

You were right
There was surf at my favorite dive site in Toronto as we did our Earth Day beach clean up today. No diving for us!

Keep the inspiration coming - I love seeing the ocean waves!

Imagine some way off shore wind mills off N.J.

Or the big oil companies being broken up or alternate fuel sources being developed and used. Why in Germany all nuclear power is being 86'd and in the U.S. and Canada the government talks about building more nuke plants.

Ryan there was a bill in congress last week to start off shore wind power generation in Massachusetts that was being fought for by environmental organizations. You would think that with the world we live in there would be more changes to deal with the gas gouging problems and alternate energy creation. We have not reached the tipping point yet in the States but if this continues there will be a resounding change next election.

Someone will remind me that this belongs on the Mother Earth page. Well today is Earth Day so I guess a little advocacy on this forum might not be a bad thing for surfing.
