Howdy, i need some honest information on how often there is actual surf in the hamilton, ontario area. Also, sometimes the frequency isnt as important as the quality. I realize this isnt the north shore, but any information on how much power the wind swell generates, the size and the form of the wave would be much appreciated. I need this information to help make a decision on where i should go to school, so i would be way stoked if someone could help me with this matter.

Sometimes it doesn't get much till mid Aug. on., then maybe a couple time a week...good thing is you are only 35-50 mi. away from Erie which goes off maybe 4 times a week in the summer (sometimes). You are 2 hrs. away fro Huron. Good surf waiste high or better, maybe once a month outside Aug.- Feb.Usually too much shore Ice mid Jan. - mid March, this year is an exception, no ice...
