I've got a 3/2 Oneill Hammer and I'm going to be getting a 4/3 Oneill Psycho w' hood in the next week or so. THe Hammer is an XL suit and I'm wondering if maybe its too big. It fits on the arm and legs, but seems a little loose in the armpits? I'm 6'0" 180 pounds. Since I can't try the suit on prior to purchase (online order)I was wondering if there is a huge size difference between a Large and X-Large.

Go directly to the source and ask your question. They are the experts on fitting. Goggle the company name and ask them directly or one of their distributors. Are there any stores in your area that sell the particular brand. You could try one on.

I have a Psycho 4/3 - very nice suit - I was roasting in Lake O last Sunday... your 3/2 might be good enough these days. I also have a Hammer 2mm top (great with boardshorts), and generally find Oneill stuff tends to fit really snug for the sizing.
