Hi,
I am a beginner surfer, and I am hooked. I just recently moved to Beach blvd and am stoked to see that there are surfable waves at the bridge. I have been watching the classifieds for a board but there isnt much action. So I had a look at Silent Sports web site. I was curious if any of you have a recommendation for a first board purchase.
Here is the SS line up
http://www.silentsports.com/store/category/9/102/Surfboards/

I am 5'10" and about 185 pounds.

Thanks for reading.

Hey Scott,
How is the bridge looking today? Anything ridable out there? the buoy is reading 1.6' but if you have a visual, that would be great. thanks

Go for a longer wider board that's nice and stable. You'll want to have something that will let you ride a variety of mushburger waves out there and have fun. I've ridden my old Hansen for years on a variety of waves in Tofino and it does just fine.

A Bic might be a good pick as a first board around here because it will survive alot more that your standard glass job out there and you won't look like you've been bumping rocks at Sombrios.

Good luck.
