If anyone is going up to Huron Friday, Saturday or Sunday (if there is surf) from the GTA and can take an extra passenger, I can meet you anywhere in the GTA and pitch for gas in exchange for a drive there and back. I live in Oshawa but I could meet you in Toronto, Hamilton or anywhere accessible by GO train. It would be good if there'd be room for my 7'9 board, otherwise I will bodysurf. My email is above. Cheers

would like to help

June 9 2006, 11:52 AM

I would like to give you a ride, I have a friend that is already going with me and I have an acura integra, three might be really tight with an extra board, if you want to give me a call tonight at around 8 or 9pm I can put the two boards in and one back seat and see how it fits. 905-309-5685
I am planning to leave pretty early in the a.m.

That sounds great Steve. If Reda is keen too and you only have one spot, he probably lives closer to you and has less stuff to take so it might be easier for you if he went, but I'll call you tonight and see what's happening. How far are you from Oshawa? Leaving early like 5-6am or like 3-4 am?

leaving EARLY

June 9 2006, 2:39 PM

I was thinking 4am, I live in Grimsby(near Stoney Creek) so I could meet someone in Burlington on my way, I know that I could only fit one more at best(with surfboards).I'm also thinking of checking out Kettle Point, I think it would catch the north swells nicely. I will talk to you tonight.
Steve.

kettle point to start?

June 9 2006, 7:28 PM

I'll be heading up in the morning. My cell number is (519)984-3109. Maybe we can text back and forth to report what's looking good. Adam, if you can get a ride but your board won't fit I'll have an extra board, so you could borrow it.

Or better yet

June 9 2006, 10:40 PM

Build a raft and put a sail on it......stack your boards....and go with the wind and the current from one end of the lake to the other.......

Depending on how strong that NW to WNW wind is, you may make better time than driving to Huron....or not.

Good luck with Huron. Hope you score in the am. If not, turn around and head to the east end of Ontario. WNWesterlies forecasted to blow into Sunday.

Waking up in 3 hours to surf Chimney Bluffs area, 300+ miles to the north of where I currrently am.

Why surf weekend touristy ocean waves when you can have a lake to yourself, and Bob C....

See you at 2am Dunkin DoNuts
