Guys/Gals – finally looks like surf this weekend, but as we all know, the summer months can be a long drought without waves. The good news is that the 2006 Wake Surf Jamboree will be held July 7 – 9th in the quaint Magog Quebec, about 1.5 hours south east of Montreal (aka eastern townships). What a perfect way to condition yourself for the upcoming ESA Great Lakes contest season! See

Wakesurfing is essentially riding an endless wave behind a boat (without a rope) on a large wake. It doesn’t replace surfing by any means, but fun nonetheless.
In order to accommodate us Great Lake Surfers, a hotel owner in the area has provided his grounds for pitching a tent. My understanding is that equipment for the event is provided, and the prize money is impressive!
The guys at Origin Surf are considering a shuttle to the event from Toronto depending on numbers – if interested, contact allan@originsurf.ca
