My sister reminded me how in my family it is a self reliant tradition to give supportively and charitably but to find it difficult to accept a gift from others. Thanks to her enlightenment and each of my friends and surfing buddies I thank you for what you have been doing on the Origin web site for me and also for your prayers and thoughts to keep me on bubble and Bohemian.

Thank You brothers and sisters from the bottom of my heart:

sometimes i feel like i could take on the whole empire myself

December 4 2006, 8:55 AM

Ben: Remember a Jedi can feel the Force flowing through him.
Luke: You mean it controls your actions?
Ben: Partially, but it also obeys your commands.
Han: Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.
Luke: [to Han] You don't believe in the Force, do you?
Han: Kid, I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other. I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen anything to make me believe there's one all-powerful Force controlling everything. There's no mystical energy field controls my destiny! It's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense.
Ben: I suggest you try it again Luke. This time, let go your conscious self and act on instinct.
[Ben places a helmet on Luke's head with the blast-shield down to blind him]
Luke: But with the blast shield down I can't see a thing!
Ben: Your eyes can deceive you. Don't trust them. Stretch out with your feelings.
[Luke calmly evades and deflects three pulses from the remote, successfully using the Force]
Han: I call it luck.
Ben: In my experience, there's no such thing as luck.
Han: Look. Good against remotes is one thing. Good against the living…that's something else.
Ben: [to Luke] You've taken your first step into a larger world.

It's based on Cinema of Akira Kurosawa.

Lucas and Spielburg backed some of Kurosawas films because Akira inspired them.

The Jedi fight that had me rolling in the isles was when the master Yoda fought. I am still laughing at the images of that scene that remain in my consciousness.

David have you ever rented Kurasowa's 1952 film "Ikiru" (translation) "To Live?" It has no light sabres, pistols, or swords in it but it's a fantastic movie.

A friend of mine in California who is in the healing business through writing was visiting this weekend Jack London's ranch in Glen Ellen, California.

Jack London said,

"I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark burn out in a blaze than it should be stifled by dry rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The proper function of man is to live, not exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong then, I shall use my time."

In these times it is good to be a half blind man in a blinded world. I still got one good eye. The force is powerful. Thank You for positive ions and expressions of indomitable spirit.
