NEW UPDATE ABOUT THE SURF CONTEST ON LOWER POSTING:

If there is surf this weekend either on Saturday or Sunday then we will be holding the last ESA Great Lakes surf contest for 2006 in Toronto.

This contest is dependent on the right wave producing weather.

I don't care if 4 surfers or 4000 surfers show up this contest will be held if there is surf. I don't care if there is white outs and blizzard like conditions this surf contest will happen if there are waves.

Magilla will be there if there are waves and there will be an ESA Great Lakes Surf Contest, ESM and Surfing magazines for our members, trophies, and the last chance to get more competition points and to increase your chances in the end of the year raffle. We have more prizes than we did last year and the most attrocious looking soft top surfboard to give away with a free repair from our sponsor 5 Surfboards in Toronto.

The raffle takes place 31 January 2006. All winning raffle ticket numbers and prizes will be announced here.

All we need is surf.

Toronto or Hamilton depending on the conditions.

First and foremost Toronto gets first consideration.

Option Two a paddle out and pic showing in Toronto on New Years Day If surf /surf contest.

December 30 2006, 3:37 PM

We might have surf on New Years Day. So we can have the first ESA Great Lakes District comp of the year in Toronto if there is surf or a paddle out if it is flat followed by a look at some of my photography work that shows local surfers. This is a sneak preview.

My wife is doing a New Years Day dive in the Humber with her TO scuba buds.

Fiddle sticks to the contest on Sunday in Toronto or Hamilton.

December 30 2006, 11:31 PM

The wind looks too weak for Sunday. It is supposed to get strong in the evening in Buffalo with light rain for the New Years Eve ball drop.

In Hamilton and Toronto I'm reading light wind forecasts and waves that MIGHT reach a meter in height.

Monday looks better.

I will be doing the end of the year drawing here tomorrow. ESA Great Lakes District get out your raffle tickets there are a lot of prizes being raffled off and you probably will win more than one prize.

On New Years Day in the afternoon I plan on running the ESA Great Lakes District's "2007 Disappearing Ice Surf Contest." in Toronto. If we don't get waves than we will have a 2007 paddle out. The location will most likely be at Ashbridges Park in Toronto.

Check this web site later on Sunday to see what you won and to get more details about the first ESA Great Lakes Contest of 2007.
