Page 119 of this issue of Eastern Surfing Magazine has a photo essay titled: "Freezer Burn, Freezer Burn, East Coast Winter Surf:
Portable neoprene drying systems. Dry, PWC-assisted paddle outs. Power-heated wetsuits! Here's a rasther convenient truth for you: from the Canadian Maritimes to Lake Michigan, winter surfing is heating up like never before."
Photographer Luke Kavajecz's shots of Rob Lindsey and Laddie Strozk are below zero. Strozk wins top 2007 ESM brrrr pic in this photo essay with his chilling close up. It's good to see other Great Lakes surfers in the press. Well done gentlemen.
Kevin Bering mention from The Bridge/needle story in the blah blahs. You should have seen him in crowded Lake Erie in January. I counted him and no ducks or geese.
Lots of Eastern Surfing Magazines and Surfing Magazines for all ESA Great Lakes District members that want to take a ride over the Peace Bridge and four blocks to the Schaus mansion. Otherwise I'm holding on to them till I see you at the ESA Northeast Regionals in May or at the beach in early summer. Still can't surf but would surf if I could. It's not the ice that holds me back.
