How about forming a Great Lakes Veterans Surfing Association? How many Great Lakes surfers served their country in either the U.S. or Canadian military?
Maybe if those of us who served our countries stood together in solidarity for surfing access in the Great Lakes then we would be treated better than dogs.
Dogs now have free running areas in Great Lakes parks but surfers are being restricted.
How about taking injured veterans who want to surf to the beaches in Chicago and Presque Isle State Park and then teching them how to ride surfboards or body boards? Maybe we could help more than ourselves. This would show respect.
